Is anyone going to Atlanta, Cedar Creek or Fort Branch? I plan on going to these events and wanted to meet up with some of my old commerades if anyone is going to be there. Let me know. My email is jasonporter30th@yahoo.com.
For the discussion of reenacting that is not specific to the state of Maine.

Heres something from out west....
Civil War re-enactors playing the role of Union soldiers surrender to the Confederates on Abeyta Avenue, in front of what is now the Stage Door Grill, during a Battles for Socorro re-enactment. The annual event will begin Friday.

SOCORRO – The Civil War comes alive this weekend as the Texas Rebs take on the New Mexico Volunteers in representational battles presented by area re-enactors.
Three separate battles highlight the weekend – two at Escondida bridge and one on the streets of Socorro.
Quebec separatists have apparently successfully stopped efforts to reenact the 1759 Battle on the Plains of Abraham. A case of political correctness and revisionist history if you ask me.

Would this be like canceling The Battle of Atlanta or perhaps Appomattox Courthouse?
