About MaineMilitia.com
Chamberlain at Appomattox
On our part not a sound of trumpet more, nor roll of drum; not a cheer, nor word, nor whisper or vain-glorying, nor motion of man, but an awed stillness rather, and breath-holding, as if it were the passing of the dead!

Organization
Well, version 4 of MaineMilitia.com is up and running. New version of Drupal running in the background. A different theme, but one that still requires some customization to make it a little unique to this site. And better organization.
Better organization? Well, I'm not happy with it yet. It's just not what I feel is best. the problem with feelings is that it's sometimes difficult for me to express exactly what I would like. And then getting the content management system to present it the way I envision.
I love the fact that I can assign multiple categories to a single piece of content. So the best way to work with this concept seems to be to create one vocabulary with all the categories and sub-categories in it. Then simply assign a pice of content to all the categories and sub-categories that apply.

This is a logo I created and am thinking about useing on both the main MaineMilitia.com site and on the Maine Civil War Message Board.
Outline of the Great State of Maine with the State Seal within it's blue field. The state motto, "Dirigo", "I direct.". The northern star above. Braced up by the U.S. National and the Confederate battleflag. All to represent the Maine Civil War Reenactor community.
Let me know what you think.
