The husband of a friend died recently and gave me a box of books that she wants to go to good homes. Since most of these books relate tot he Civil War, she was sure I'd be able to find people to enjoy them.

Many of these titles will be familiar to many of you on this list. Perhaps you have not read all of them. Or perhaps you want an extra copy to share or gift. All are offered for free, with shipping and delivery fees negotiable.

It looks like a third of the books are gone now. But there are still a few oldies but goodies in the list, if you've never read them or don't have a copy for yourself on the shelf.

 I work in Gardiner, live in Nobleboro, and am in Brunswick and Portland at least once a month if a drop off can be arranged. Also, to ship it to you by USPS is only a couple of dollars. The books are free, I'm just looking for good homes for them.

How wonderful that she is willing to share such a treasure of books with us in the CW community.

I am most interested in the remaining books you ahve listed as I need all the knowledge I can find. I also have some fresh fish who need to read some of these. I can pick them up when I see you, if that is OK.

The Vicksbrug book is small. I'll try to estimate the cost to mail it to you if you like. I'm sure it won't cost much.

I sent six books, weighing 13.5 lbs to Illinois for $7.45. I didn't think that was too bad.
