Shock of shocks as I was reading thru the current issue of the Civil War Times what do I see an add for the Norlands event! OUTSTANDING! Finally the reenactors of the great state of Maine have proclaimed their existance!
For years I had struggled to get information for Civil War events in Maine but I always seemed to run head on into that big iron wall that keeps us flat landers out!
last year I met up with the 15th Alalbama, an outstanding group of people, and found this site which is worth it's weight in gold! finally I have freinds and contacts in Maine. all of which have been great resources for the up coming events in the state, and today you have gone national!
Ok I guess that it is not that great of a moment in American history but it sure works for me and I hope that other reenactors will travel to Maine for Norlands and other events in the future. maine is great state to reenact in!
I will see everyone in a few weeks at Norlands till then stay safe and keep your powder dry!

My dear Mr. Tophat!
My dear Mr. Tophat~
How glorious you will be attending Norlands. I have such fond memories of your gallant albeit futile attempt to save our payroll from those scandlaous rebels last summer. Those dastardly men and their attempt to dishonor me in my mouring earns them their distasteful reputation that so many speak of these days.
I look forward to your stopping by for a visit soon.
Yours,
Miss Rose
HEY I RESEMBLE THAT
HEY I RESEMBLE THAT REMARK.!!

I declare
My dear Mr. Seamus~
I would never be so bold as to make such accusations towards a known gentleman such as yourself. It would be unthinkable for a lady of my notable standing in this fine community to assume anything of an honorable, albeit misguided gentleman.
My sincerest apologies if you were in any way offended by my general statement above.
Warmest Regards,
Miss Rose
