Sounds good
I come down to North Berwick once-twice a month. I'll let you know the next time I am down. I'll even give you a break on the musketoon, since you've given me some in the past. Let me know if you are looking for anything else as I've done some cleaning out of old gear.

The Musketoon.
Sweet. How's the accuracy on that musketoon?
2nd Lt Eric R. Reeder United States Army Corps of Topographic Engineers "Hawks and Eagles fly like Doves"
clean-clear bore
The accuracy is very good for the first few shots but as with any muzzleload, needs to be swabbed to keep the accuracy. I've used mostly roundball which work better. The condition of this gun is very good. I have two others I prefer to use...my JP Murray and another musketoon which is a parker hale, so I really don't need this one.
In case anyone is interested I have a few Jonathan Browning Mountain Rifles I am going to take up to cabelas. Make a reasonable offer and they are yours. If you don't have any idea what these are, research them before making an offer. I also have a side x side bp exposed hammer shotgun, but it does need some work. I am not certain if this one is an original, it seems to be. Looking for $400. A nice gun. I also have other period firearms, such as a 51 conversion. Send a PM for more on the list.

Capt Cotton, Can you provide
Capt Cotton,
Can you provide a little more information on the mountain rifles. Condition, caliber. I may be interested and am in your area if you still have them.
Thanks

calibers
I have one in .45, one in .50 and one in .54. All stocks are in fair-good condition and barrels are very good. If you are in the area, you are welcome to come out and check them out or we can meet somewhere. All three shoot very well. These are not the centennial ones with the browning moffit on them but the plain version. I haven't listed them as of yet and don't plan to go to Cabelas with them till next week.
I have also decided to put up my 2 Walkers and 2 Dragoons if anyone are interested. I am looking at $300 a piece. I have other cowboy items but will send a list via private mail to anyone interested.
Eric send me a Private e-mail to let me know what you want to do.

mountain rifles
I was looking at $600 a piece for the Mountian rifles but will consider (and probably take) reasonable offers. 45 and 54 are the rarer of the calibers.
I remember Van Raymond having quite a few at $700 but for some reason they didn't get snatched up and eventually the price dropped to $400.
Howdy, Tophat. We've actually met a few times if you are the one who comes up from Florida. One year I came to Fort Knox in confederate garb but changed because there were so few Federals. I will bring the musket to Norland along with other items from my closets and trunks. I have someone who will be looking at it this weekend though.

Looks like business is good
Wished I had some money to throw your way Will. I wouldn't mind picking up a pistol. But alas...
Anyway, glad business appears good for you.
Hi Will, You have got a
Hi Will, You have got a strong memory! Yup good chance it was me at Fort Knox. I fought with the 15th at the fort last fall, but I also attended several times back in the late ninetys. Also did a couple of living history events in Bar Harbor and chmberlin days at Bass Park once. Had a great time each time I've found an event to "crash" when I am in Maine! I have a basic kit stashed at my camp in Phillips and would like to add an extra musket to the stash! Wish you luck for a quick sale this weekend, but I will keep my fingers crossed!
