I dont normaly put out personal stuff out for the forum but I realized that I know so many people that this was the best way to get some news out, to people who might have an intrest...
Last week Vicky(my wife for those who are new) had to be admitted to the hospital with Pneumonia, which tests determined was intersticial viral Pneumonia, well she was released last Sat, had some problems mid week that took us to the ER but were home the same night. then she had a DRs appointment Fri. they said her platelets where elevated and the liver reading(for lack of the acronym) was high, so they drew blood and sent us on our way, Later that evening we got a call from the DRs office and they wanted to admit her to the hospital, as her platelet and liver reading was now 1000 (medical types will know the acroynm and what it all means)....
so Now she is at Franklin Memorial hospital RM3057 waiting on test results which we wont get until Mon due to easter
Its either a side effect of the many meds she is on for her Huntington's,coupled with the stuff to fight the Viral pneumonia or she has some other physical blockage of the liver, Not scrisois( sea roaches) as she never was much of a drinker, but one of the tests is a complete HEP scan.
That being the news, I will be making the shameless request that you keep her in your prayers. and a hope she gets better soon......

I dont want this to come
I dont want this to come out the wrong way, but if you have someone with a long term incureable illness you get "comfortable" ie you pretty much know what to expect on a day to day basis, so every time Vicky flinches I dont go ballistic and insist on calling a doctor.....but PN shes had before and its serious but I can deal because weve been there before(too many times) but when they say its possibly in the liver then your in unexplored territory, but good news on that front the ultrasound yesterday was clear, so we wait on the labs,,,,so monday we will know more....

Happy about untrasound
You are good people, Mr. Pratt. And knowing how long term illness can be, you have a good coping mechanism. Yeah! Glad to hear the unltrasound was clear. That is good. Now to see what the levels are doing and get her back on track!
Still winging positive thoughts and prayers your way!

Mike how is your wife doing? Have you any update at this time? Keeping your family in my prayers Blessings CopperHeadAnnie
update
Right now she still is in the hospital until her liver levels are in the safe zone, and there are some tests that were sent to Boston to dertimine what virus it is...She is no longer in isolation so When I visit I dont have to be in MOPP condition 3 to enter the room as the pertusis test came back negative, and the last theory diagnosis was unspecified hepititus otherwide known as "something is wrong in the liver" so thus the further tests sent to boston....her temp is staying down and her blood pressure has stabalized as well and is not elevated, she is tired and wants to go home...but It looks she might be in for a couple more days.....
I would like to thank you all for your kind words and prayers, and I know as soon as Vicky sees the e-mails and posts that have been sent, it will cheer her up as in the last month as you might understand she has been in a very blue place emotionally, and the kind words and wishes from our many varied friends should bolster the healing powers inside her......
