Well as we all may have guessed, it rained and once again contrary to the weather report. you would think they could save money and get jim the maintence man to step on camera and recite what the national weather service says....Storm was supposed to blow south and if it did rain only showers one day....insted friday night was good and clear with thousands of stars, waking up to cloudy and grey, those clouds with the rounded bottoms that just scream of the rain that is to come....but we drilled stacked arms and posted pickets...then in the afternoon after a lunch of stew we rested with the rain falling about...it cleared later so I couls cook the two massive sides of ribs for dinner....the night turned even rainyer(sic) and about three in the morning the sky opened.....breakfast was misty at best but I got the fire going despite the coldness of the fire pit. Its quite dissapointing to always have rain despite forcasts to the contrary but Miss vicky pointed out that maybe this was the scarificial event and after this other events would be rain free.....
but we came out camped and presevered.....reminded that after we could go home that afternoon and take a hot shower put on clean clothes and have a snack or a nap or both, options that our forebears did not have.
