On Tuesday a new social art experiment opened at University of Maine at Farmington and has exploded into controversy. You can read one report at the Sun Journal website, another at The Morning Sentinel and a video at YouTube.
I've started a new blog where I hope to just rant about life and the news and things that interest me. I decided to post my thoughts over there.

The above link has great coverage of the story. And according to Ms. Crane, "Ninety-five to 98 percent of the people didn't walk on the flags".
Impressive number!

I read two of the articles
I read two of the articles before I commented. and this is how I see it. I dont know which galls me more, that it was even a project or that the person who did the project was an admitted conservative.
I Work with a girl who attends UMF and she was griping about the srt display...not the flags mind you but the rest that they try to pass off as art..duct tape in balls with sticks a bedpan with fake poop with neckties in it. the list goes on.......
The Girl who was telling me this does watercolors, and is very good , I have one of her prints on the wall. its of Main St in Farmington before the fire of 1882, it would probally be looked down on as pedestrian by the likes of the art professor and Theo Presidente of UMF.
I tell you IF you send your kids to UMF be warned, you need to watch out because its littered with kool-aid drinkers.
