I just stumbled upon this.

Today is Maine National History Day competition at UMA.

Today is the Maine National History Day competition, an announcement from Secretary of State Matthew Dunlap's office said today.

This annual competition, held on the University of Maine-Augusta’s campus, is for teachers and students “interested in developing critical thinking skills and an understanding of the past through original research,” a statement from Dunlap’s office said.

This is probably not the kind of event I would go to. Nor is it something that I would take time off from work for. But there are always interesting little things like this relating to history going on around the State of Maine. If you find these kinds of things as interesting as I do then let's help each other by adding them as an event, with a good link or two for others to follow.

I love history and want to promote the study of it any way I can!
