So tell me, where do you get your news?
Particularly websites you like. I'm thinking about how difficult it is to find decent news easily. Decent local, Maine related history news. It's out there and I am finding it but wading through and sorting it all is not easy.
Anyone have thoughts on this?

Well for civil war news I
Well for civil war news I have been recently reading the civil war interactive website, as for maine history news I look to this website...As I dont believe there is anywhere else to get it in one sitting, as you have done it seems you have to glean it from different sources, like the kennebec journal online and other papers and such and then give forth the links.
As for local news I watch channel Eight as its one of the options I have on my satillite provider. when hooked up to the antenna I used to watch Channel 5. I tend to Watch the /national Fox news in the morning and then 8 at night because its after Dr. Phil. And I havent watched the CBS evening news since they brought Katie on board.
Its the Basic Idea these days noone really cares about history, as the general public thinks there is no benefit to knowing where you came from, but they with this mindset dont know where they are going either. they just exist. if you look at any time in history you can draw some kind of paralle to today and see what you shouldnt do.
look at the 60s a long unpopular war with massive casulties, social unrest, civil rights demonstations, foreign intrigue,
Draft Riots, womens rights presidential assinations unpopular vice presidents, the profiteering defense contractors....Ah the 1860s.....All thats missing is the tie dye and doobie.....
