Related?
We have to be related to them? Damn
well be it truth or outright
well be it truth or outright myth they say that in the donner party when someone died and were used for food they marked the wrapped meat with the name so that you didnt actually eat one of your family members.....which brings me to another story...some out there probally have heard it before.......when we were still on a farm we had a cow named Judy...well the time came when judy couldn't get bred back to have another calf and remain in the milking herd, so we had her put out on a local feed lot to get fattened up.
well the Slaughter house was owned by a local guy whos son had just built a house and was needing a little extra money, so he would milk on weekends at our farm...so when the time came for judy to go into the freezer he was present for the killing and the skinning and the whole process of the slaughter and finally the cutting and wrapping. Now its customary to stamp the white paper packages with whats inside and "not for sale", but to keep our meat seperate from the other meat insted of writing "PRATT" on our packages he wrote "JUDY" So we had ground beef "JUDY" cubed "JUDY", sirloin and ny strip "JUDY" well you get the picture...
Needless to say it rather freaked out my wife who doesnt want to know her food on a personal level. But I will have to say that cow was some of the best eating Ive had ,,,,,,,,,,,
