Well,
It's winter again and time for refit and repair. and most of you know Im up for the planning for alot of things and the doing of a few. but one of the things I do actually do is make candles..beeswax in nature, but beeswax when bought in small quanities is expensive. It runs about 8 bucks a pound, not counting shipping or the drive to Augusta.(Michaels crafts)
So in a fit of desperation and boredom( my wife was gone for a month and a half visiting family in Ga.) I started scrounging up old candles and wax and melting it down in an old coffee can, and made candles out of the amalgam...Its funny as the wax changes color as you pour and add more wax to the mix...I started with some dark blue, that turned to a kind of blue grey and then a ivory waxy color then a pink that turned to a mauve.. but the candles burn well and smell, well different as also some of the wax was scented so it blends.
Well I was thinking if anybody that I know out there has old candle stubbs of any type and you think you might see me.put em in a bag and let me take em off your hands...anybody who gives wax will get a candle or two (unless you give me beaucoup wax, then I will give forth more)
I really dont want to become a candle peddler but its just a winter project....

Dont curse the darkness!
