I have read it!

Greetings,
I have finished reading "99 Coffins". It is what it
is. And, I enjoyed it as a horror alternate civil war
history tale. I feel that the diary style entry, at
the beginning of each chapter, set a historical tone
to the tale. It is a modern vampire tale which has
its beginning wrap in 1863 Gettysburg. I did find it
interesting how the author created his own kind of
vampire different from the old movies that I grew up
watching. His vampire lore must be base in his first
love of zombies. Also, I enjoyed the final battle
chapters as the vampires fought their way through
present day Gettysburg. I remembered being at those
places on past trips to the park. Not much Third
Maine but a good lite read.

The author, David Wellington, wrote to me. He wish
that the Third Maine could have played a larger role
but unfortunately, his editor asked him to cut much of
the material set during the civil war so that it would
not overshawdow the parts of the book set in the
present day.

Book

Don't tell me the end! I just started it a few days ago. I did read Billy Boy about the 17th Maine Soldier...I loved the Novel. The best part was that alot took place in Maryland...Rockville, Olney, Silverspring...all places where I grew up...
