Well Its a bit late but, here goes...
most will tell youu I am a prolific writer on the board but at my house while I am doing it sometimes it takes quite a few minutes to bang one of these out..and as I only really am on the computer before I go to work. my time is often limited so I dont want to get rolling and then have to wrap it up....
So I will just say this....
We went to The ft and had a great time!
while the parade was on we stayed behind to do some drill and then we captured the Surgeon held the ft for some time but the 20th must have gotten Lobser rolls for lunch as we got hungry and let them have it back before they got there. later we had the battle(skirmish) and they wiped us out....the fireworks were the most unusual Ive ever seen as it fogged in and they had em anyway....It was dort of like walking by a church with frosted glass windows and some kind of brightly colored explosions were going on inside. sunday was a goos day foggy at first but cleared off bright and hot....more drill and chit chat with the tourists and sundays battle was on....we wiped out the 20th....and had a hot take down.....
old friends made new again new friends were found, good time had by all.
cant wait to do it again.

I was dissapointed that
I was dissapointed that nobody asked about the Captain "Chainfire" indication on some of your lastest posts. As a front row observer to the event it was impressive.
The best part was the comments from the children after, up in the Union camp. One asked me if that guy whose hand caught on fire was ok. Another asked if they really used sparklers in the civil war or was it some kind of flare gun.
The event was well attended and a good time was had by all. I look forward to future events with the Captain, whose ability to enter union camps undetected is amazing.....
"I am not the rebel you are looking for"
"LOOK MOMMY! THAT MANS GUN
"LOOK MOMMY! THAT MANS GUN IS ON FIRE!"
Is by far my favorite quote...and the fact that reports of the flame got bigger and bigger.went from two feet to four feet by the time I talked to Provost Roger...
there are just some things you shouldnt seal a gun with and old loose bore butter like substance is one of them....next days double layer cream of wheat plus crisco did the trick.......
we are even writing a song about the event..

Someone must have pictures of this? That would be funny!
Nice work Captain!

If you don't have photos..
...perhaps we could get Seamus to stage a recreation! For effect, we'll coat his hand and sleeve with parrafin infused with a generous amount of that fizzy cheap reenactor powder. Then, load the pistol, keep the chambers unsealed, squeeze off rounds and hope for the best! We could cover it from several angles and it could end up on one of those TV shows...and even earn the Famous Seamus the much coveted Darwin Award! Or better still, the "Heres' your Sign" award on Country Fried Videos! What do ya say, Seamus...do you feel lucky? Well, do ya?
I now present.......FLAMING DEATH!
sounds a lot like that scene from the movie "A Bugs Life"
I can do two shows in a weekend give me two weeks to heal, we will make a fortune!
or it could be the advanced special effects to draw more crowds to reenactments, in ground pyrotechnic charges and at least one Flamin captain!(no track lighting required...)
