OLd cemetaries

Seamus's picture

I dont know who among us reads the Morning Sentinel(I dont) but my employers ripped a page out for me the other day with an article about a Young man in Temple who is working on his Eagle project, trying to restore an old cemetary up on a hill. Its completly grown up and contains the graves of rev,1812 and civil war vets...(the old cemetaries all around Farmington are filled with Me1st Cav)
Hes looking for Volunteers and I wanted to inquire here first if there was any interest in Getting a "posse" up and then I could make contact....a local atv club helped out earlier...

Can you look into it Mke?

We have talked about this before. There are many many over grown and un-maintained cemeteries around the state. That's a shame. Glad to hear someone is trying to do something.

If a date in October can be found and set soon then I will be there.

My sad life these days finds my weekends filling up far in advance. My wife and I share a calendar over the internet to keep track of the things we plan. It's crazy! But October is currently look clear.

Tools and materials

Some idea of what tools and materials we should bring might be helpful as well. Just going into planning mode and wondering just what we need to be prepared for!
