A Day in Saco

I attended this event, very nice set up, the first I've ever been to. Great guys to volunteer their Saturday to enlighten the public on Civil War camp life. The museum next door has some excellent period pieces from Maine regiments, on view until November.

You didnt make eye contact

You didnt make eye contact did you?
Never make eye contact with a reenactor, its dangerous next thing they might have you try on the jacket, and then next will come the business card.....they will show you their stuff and then you are gone......Friends and family will never see you again....
dont Feed them either espicially at night,
Just a warning......its happend to many others.....Beware, beware...BEWARE!!!!
oh and by the way Check out our website! www.mainerebels.org
I have an extra jacket or two you might want to try on and I could mail you my business card...

As much as I'd love to

As much as I'd love to reenact, my lack of spare time (and money, I suppose) will keep me from joining for some time. I will try to keep up on the local events going on, and attempt to visit them.
I'm off to check out your website now!
