New to the Experience
Hello! I'm the "mystery blogger" from the 15th Alabama. I started the blog because I wanted to share my re-enacting experiences with family and friends scattered throughout the states. I'm glad you like it. "Captain Chainfire" alerted me to your regards so I came over and joined the forum! I am trying to be as accurate as possible, but as this is my first season re-enacting if I get something wrong, please e-mail me and let me know, I can quickly fix it. I really do enjoy re-enacting and look forward to next season when I will be able to participate without having to worry about school! I am completely hooked and there are so many nice people that I have met! I wish I had started doing this sooner! You guys are awesome!
Welcome Kylah!
I have a Google Alerts search for Civil War reenacting and I think I discovered you there. Now I've got your feed showing up in my Reader. I enjoy your enthusiasm and observations. Keep up the good work!
I haven't done an event since the rain event of June 2006. But when I see others getting excited about reenacting then it makes me think I should look at the schedule and get back in the field.

No Way!
If I am putting wool on then I want to take that opportuity to get away from the family. Thank you very much! :)
Another year maybe. My daughter will be four and need less watching. Camping went very well two weeks ago. She even enjoyed the rain! So I figure next year I will be looking at getting back in the field.

guess I got it
guess I got it backwards..........
know how it is with the wee ones, charlene goes back and forth on wether she like it or not but she still dreams of the day that she might be able to use a "real" musket
(is that a real sword? is that a real tent? did you stay out here all night in that?)
will be looking for you in a year to either kill or get you in my side to kill for me....

Kill or be killed...
It will be my pleasure! :)

Is any one else blogging?
To everyone! Is anyone else blogging? I'm always looking for good civil war material. What about your favorite source of reenactor news? I can't stand browsing the forums and have stopped. But if someone was blogging the news that would be cool!

Ok how about a reenactor podcast?
I'm currently involved in two podcasts.
How about we start a MaineMilitia.com podcast? DO you have a headset and mic? Have you tried Skype?
