The Maine Military Historical Society announces the presentation of "Silent Sentinels, Maine's Civil War Monuments," with Mr. Earle G. Shettleworth, Jr, Director of the Maine Historic Preservation Commission. Mr. Shettleworth will share a slide show and reflections on his project to catalogue Maine’s Civil War memorials.

The general public is invited to share in an evening of historical perspective and appreciation.
