MPBN Maine Experience

Someone stopped me today and said they had seen me on TV. Has anyone seen the Maine Public Broadcasting Network's new series, Maine Experience, yet?

I'm watching some of the episodes released to the website. They seem pretty good. Lot's of friendly faces appear in the "Norlands Living History Center" episode.

I also enjoyed the Neal Dow episode.

Check it out.

I recieved the following by email from Sgt. and Mrs. Lawson and reproduce it here with their permission.

I received a postcard from Anita Clearwater, the producer of the MPBN program "The Maine Experience". The segment for which we were filmed last year will air on Thursday, Nov. 9, at 8:00 PM. The segment is called "Statue Stories". Please spread the word. Some 3rd Mainers appeared a couple of weeks ago in a segment on Norlands, but we received no credit. (I suspect the person filming assumed that we were part of the Norlands staff.) Besides some of the ladies briefly shown together on the lawn, my hand appeared attached to a fry pan and the Captain was shown shoving bacon into his mouth. Carolyn and I have the episode on tape in case anyone wants to relive these glorious scenes. Or see it yourself at

Enjoy!
