Ok, I know this is way, way, way, way off topic! :) But Seamus and I are fans of the Sci Fi channel show, Battlestar Galactica. They announced today that they will be spinning off a prequel to the current series. Coool!

Clearly not Gallactica fans!
Ok, so maybe I am not in the majority on this. It is a great show!
But for the uninitiated, Commander Adama is the captain of the Galactica, which is a first-rate space warship of a fleet from the 12 Colonies. The 12 colonies are a human race in a far off galaxy who have been nearly wiped out by robots who posses artificial inteligence, the Cylons. The remnants of the 12 colonies are in search of the lost 13th colony, known as Earth.
Commander Adama's son, Lee, is also part of the fleet. But there is a great deal of fiction between them due to the death of Lee's brother, the commander's son.
Apparently, the new series, "Caprica", will take place when Adama senior is a young man, about the time of the creation of the Cylons.
Anywho... Bring on the jokes. Battlestar Galactica, NCIS, and The Unit are about the only things I make sure to see every week.

I do remember Galactica
And I aready know about Commander Adama's past. Before becoming commander of the Galactica he lived on a ranch in Virginia called the Ponderosa. I don't remember a son named Lee though...and which of his brother's got killed, Adam, Hoss or Little Joe? Either way it doesn't matter, 'cause I know how it all ends for him too...peddling dog food. How sad...

well I am Glad someone took
well I am Glad someone took an offtopic thread really far out there.
Guys this is just not your average popcorn Sci-fi show, its gritty and at times pretty racy. but well written and good. the pilot was good as they gave homage to the orginal...as Galactica is on its way to be ing a museum ship.....Cant watch the unit as its on the same time as house.
but I have the smae list, ncis, csi the orginal, 24 and house.
