those of you who are coming to the Camp Pratt 2006 will need directions

from 27...at the light cross central bridge. turn right into west farmington when you get to the fourway stop at maxwells market, go stright through...follow 43 until you see a old farmhouse on the left with a large trailer in the yard and alot of logs...thats the place.

from 4as you come into Farmington you need to stay in the left hand lane after you pass the Hannafords...take the turn at the right aid and go to the fourway stop. turn left...follow the directions above.

anyone who just wants to drop in on Sat thats cool too.

Mike, If my schedule allows

Mike,
If my schedule allows I can come up and help with the wood. I have a chain saw and plenty of experience cutting fire wood, especially after Bowdoin. LOL I will let you know soon.

Chainsaws

Just the ticket to put Farmington back on the Map! Maine Chainsaw Massacre! I'll bring my broad Axe and hunting cap with ear muffs!....Darn I went off topic!

The event is supposes to be the weekend of May 13-14. This weekend might be my last free weekend for a while since I start cutting for the town next Monday. There are really only two weekends before this event.

We will be doing a lot of drilling including battalion drill and artillery drills.

Good to hear

Hopefully all the surgeons will there to show their stuff. Remember Capt. Ferretti plans on being there to give battalion training. We'll have to talk more on this next week.

Sounds good

Sounds good Nate. I'll be calling both of you soon. These days are packed with activities and I just don't make the rounds like I used to. Tons of things to do before the season really opens. The plus side is that I have most of my vacation time in and accepted. I'll be in touch soon.

So, do you feel lucky? Hard

So, do you feel lucky? Hard saying what the weather report may be come Tuesday night. Farmer's Almanac calls for a wet May and they seem to hit April right on the mark. So...

I can make it next Saturday as well if plans change.

well...

I have plans for the following weekend so I wouldn't be able to attend. however if it's too nasty on Saturday I suspect the wife won't be thrilled wth the idea of going then either...hows that for being no help at all?

Mike, If you can find a

Mike,
If you can find a porta-john company that will deliver on Friday that would be the best thing. I just looked at a couple of forcasts for Saturday and they are now saying that it may clear up. I'm sure that by Friday the forcast will be more accurate. Just my thoughts.

the following week

May 20th will be a bad day for me. The fort has a large affair going on. I am in need of troops for a few hours of drill and cannon firing. Anyone interested should let me know. The draw to this particuliar event is that it involves adoption agencies (I am told around 500 people) from all over the state. It would be a good chance for individual unit contact and exposure. Any help is appreciated.

And Seamus the Cursed prayed

"And Seamus the Cursed prayed to the Gods of weather.
May they have mercy on the assemblage that was, is and shall be Camp Pratt.
That the flood gates of Mt. Olympus may be closed for one weekend.
And the masses of rebeldom and followers in Maine shall gather under dry skys.
With Peace and War finding balance amongst the hills of western Maine."

I think you might get lucky Mike. But I can't make it either weekend so what do I know. :)

The Good Captain has Spokenth

No matter...rain or shine the boys of Georgia will be there. Drilling in the rain is about the only legimate way we wash our jackets, we'll bring our woollite just in case but I suspect it will be grand time either way!

Will

You just can't win

Just a few days ago I was certain that you would get lucky Mike. Now I am watching the news and what looked like it would be a overcast day is now running the risk of heavy rain!

Sunday may still be salvagable, but with luck like yours... Well...

All bets are off! Your just cursed.

May god have mercy on you all...

I suppose

I suppose I will still be there with a load of Gofer wood. (You know the stuff I ask Patti to load in the truck and the stuff I will ask Josh to go for.) Anyhow, I will have to day trip because I did not get the night off from the asylum.
