AAR CWPT Clean up at Fort Knox

capt cotton's picture

The day was beautiful for the clean up with only a few drops of rain before the sun came out.

Ms. Patti, myself and Pvt. McCaleb attended in uniform with the cannon which fired the signal shot to begin the clean up project. We were greeted with donuts, coffee and Hot Coco and of of course a tee shirt all of which were in XL.

At Ten o'clock there were no volunteers but by 10:15 the place was buzzing with about 25 people. Some young adults from Bucksport (about 15 of them) showed up to help out. There was much to be done...sweeping cleaning and general lawn work. Truely a worthy project.

We ended with a farewell salute from "Little Pete". It was a very pleasant time with no problems or concerns. Things at the Fort are coming along very well.

Yours,
Will

I wish I could have gone out

I wish I could have gone out to the cleanup but as late e-mails have stated I had a cleanup of my own going on.....
Button is now 20lbs. lighter thanks to the groomer...but as a warning her jumping height now has increased thanks to lack of wind resistance........
must play lottery more......
