I like YOUR hat. Mr. El kepi (though he is not really a kepi). But rugged and nice all the same. But I am also looking for a traditional gray kepi. I know, I know, I've been through three hats this year and probably won't be satisfied until I end up with General Lee's own original hat. (Though I still prefer a gray kepi!)

It's an intervention! Seamus has gone E-bay crazy! Every morning I get up and it's "Baby, I put a bid on some hats!" or "I put a bid on some wool pants" or "I put a bid on dried spittle from Robert E Lee!".

Stop this insanity! Buy the man's hats so his poor wife and sixteen children can eat!

There is no cure...

...as I jump between the MM Board and the eBay window... The best you can hope for is to realize the addiction and use it for good. Like, when someone says "I am looking for...," offer to look for it on eBay for them. It satisfies the need, while spending someone else's money - not yours.

They offer a pill on TV to cure the eBay pangs, but it causes shortness of breath, dryness of the mouth, and a host of other side effects. But, it is a miracle cure....

There are a vouple of green ones a sort of grey and blue one several black or dark navy ones and at least one butternut one that matches my jacket...and one light biege onew with off color red stripes that looks like is should be worn by either a period jockey or one of the Cosby kids......

Is an 1830's militia Wheel Hat. I've got some stuff from where you got those hats Seamus. They made my Frock Coat! So They at least make nice coats. Not as good as Copperhead Annie, but still pretty nice.

I will bring them to the KC3 Mike if you have a digi cam bring it and those that dont walk we can post...Its a scratch and dent sale, one might have a small nick in the visor and others are just plauges with an off stich or two...
