There is a guy up the road from me who has a muzzleloading shop and has a full service gunsmithing shop with lathes and drills anmd the like, he is currently repairing the spring on my 1851 .36 navy, and he is rapairing an old double barrel shotgun I have. it came from my grandfathers estate but was punished over the years and the cones have been beaten down almost flat with the barrel. What I am having him do is drill and tap it and install two musket size cones and cut down the lenth of it to make it a coach gun for my wife(and to be really honest me) I can tell you then what kind of a gunsmith he is but from the looks of other work he has done...Excellent.
