The January 28th Kitchen Conference is fast approaching. Marc Averill (ConfederateCB) will be the host for the first meeting. He has emailed directions and a phone number to all those who have RSVP'ed for the Jan. 28th meeting.
If you intend to go then please RSVP and email Marc Averill (ConfederateCB) for directions.
Remember that it is a pot-luck lunch. Please bring a dish or desert and your own beverage. I'm not sure what else Marc needs any of us to bring but I'm sure he will chime in.
The agenda will be loose and open to alterations. It's only offered as a guide. I will moderate as necessary.
If you are wondering what the heck this is all about then read more here.

What to bring
In addition to a pot-luck dish and beverage if you want something special, Marc suggests that if you are coming then please bring a serving spoon if your dish may require one. He will provide paper plates, plastic utensils, plastic/styro cups, etc. Coffee & Iced tea also.

Feb 18 Kitchen Conference Agenda Update
I've updated the agenda for the next Kitchen Conference. I emailed all the involved parties and only got a response from one. So I considered that implied consent. :) If there is a problem with anyone then please email me and let me know.

Please remember to RSVP online:

To Mr. Pratt: Please send directions and I will post them online or if you prefer then I will email them to all parties that RSVP.
For those that have not been following along, the Kitchen Conference is a group of us who are talking about various aspects of the hobby of Civil War Reenacting in the State of Maine. Including but not limited to, improving our first person impressions, improving our understanding of the time period, learning for the vast knowledge each person amongst this group posesses, sharing ideas about how to increase recruiting and communication amongst all groups in the state and look forward to where we, the collective 'we', want to go.

And in other news!
Two very important updates regarding the Kitchen Conference. One for the March meeting and one for the April meeting.
Our very own, Mr. Jason Porter has secured a community hall in Lewiston, Maine to hold the March meeting of the Kitchen Conference on March 25th This is the meeting at which we expect to hear from Mr. Ray Hamilton, of the Ancient Ones. The hall should eb able to handle a good crowd.
Mr. Porter has secured the location at the expense of $60. $30 will be refunded upon us cleaning up after ourselves. So at the event you will be asked to donate to the cause and support Jason's efforts. And you will be expected to assist in the cleanup to ensure he gets his $30 back.
And for the April meeting, it is now official. Mr. Craig Young has worked with the Norlands and they will be meeting with us on Saturday, April 8th from 3 PM to 5 PM. The Norlands has agreed to give us their time for free. So I will probably be asking to pass a hat that afternoon as well and see if we can put together a small donation for them.
Very exciting things are moving forward! Stay tuned for more...

Do you Feel like those heady
Do you Feel like those heady days of 1975 when people were getting ready for the Bicentennial? this is like a new day, coming from the fog a beam of light shines on our endevors, guiding us on a path that will take us to a kingdom of bliss..or at least a nice M.L.T
Mutton lettuce and tomato sandwich, when the mutton is lean and the lettuce is crisp...Perky mmmmm.
Seriosly cirrosly...er Frankly speaking we are laying a groundwork for something that doesnt happen much, commonality of goals among different groups.

Moving along!
The KC is moving along nicely and with greater organization. I don't see a problem with passing the hat to pay for rooms or services. We do this every Sunday with religious vigor....well some of us do.
The beauty of the whole scheme is that I don't have to do 95%,85%....er 15% of the work. In fact it's probably less than 10%-5% arguably. With any luck most of us will learn something from these little get togethers.
Great Job Folks, see you there.
