They didn't
That's what amazed me. The satelite flyover was just taking pictures as it went by. It just so happened that one of the rarest vintage-warbirds in the world was flying underneath.
Can you imagine? It's a beautiful shot too!

A few years back, we had a B24 Liberator fly over the house
on its way to or from some air show.
They look HUGE at 5000 ft.

Many years ago now, I was at RAF Duxford to see the sites. Well worth the trip if you make it to England!
They have a Short Sunderland and a Lancaster. They look big! And at the far end of the runway is the 8th Air Force museum. Inside the hanger is a B-52 with a B-17 sitting under the wing.
