Greetings,
I give to you and yours a traditional Celtic Yuletide blessing:

May love and laughter light your days,
and warm your heart and home.
May good and faithful friends be yours,
wherever you may roam.
May peace and plenty bless your world
with joy that long endures.
May all life's passing seasons
bring the best to you and yours!

Wes Hal! ,( Anglo-Saxon meaning "to your health")

Fruitcake Recipe
1 cup water
1 cup sugar
4 large eggs
2 cups dried fruit
1 teaspoon baking soda> 1 teaspoon salt
1 cup brown sugar
lemon juice
nuts
1 gallon whiskey

Sample the whiskey to check for quality. Take a large bowl.

Check the whiskey again to be sure it is of the highest quality. Pour one level cup and drink.

Repeat.

Turn on the electric mixer; beat 1 cup butter in a large, fluffy bowl. Add 1 teaspoon sugar and beat again.

Make sure the whiskey is still OK. Cry another tup. Turn off mixer.

Break 2 legs and add to the bowl and chuck in the cup of dried fruit. Mix on the turner. If the fried druit gets stuck in the beaterers, pry it loose with a drewscriver.

Sample the whiskey to check for tonsisticity.

Next, sift 2 cups of salt. Or something. Who cares? Check the whiskey.

Now sift the lemon juice and strain your nuts.

Add one table. Spoon. Of sugar, or something. Whatever you can find. Grease the oven.  Turn the cake tin to 350 degrees. Don't forget to beat off the turner.Throw the bowl out of the window.

Check the whiskey again.  Go to bed.  Who likes fruitcake, anyway?

This is my oath.

I recieved the following from a friend. I know many of the gentleman reading this will chuckle. I hope others find it humorous as well. I apoligize if you have already seen it in your email.

Are you tired of all those sissy "friendship" poems that always sound good, but never actually come close to reality? Well, here is a series of promises that really speaks to true friendship:

1. When you are sad - I will help get you drunk and plot revenge against the sorry bastard who made you sad.
2. When you are blue - I will try to dislodge whatever is choking you.
3. When you smile - I will know you finally got laid.
4. When you are scared - I will rag on you about it every chance I get.
5. When you are worried - I will tell you horrible stories about how much worse it could be and to quit whining.
6. When you are confused - I will use little words.
7. When you are sick - Stay the hell away from me until you are well again. I don't want whatever you have.
8. When you fall - I will point and laugh at your clumsy arse.

This is my oath. .I pledge it till the end. Why you may ask? Because you are my friend.

Remember: A good friend will help you move; A really good friend will help you move a body.

Merry Christmas my friends. Let me know if I ever need to bring a shovel.

When You Coming to Visit?

Dear Distant Cousin Marc,

When are you coming to visit? You'll love it here. The weather is nice, no snow, no rain yet, temps in the 60's.

If it wasn't for all the IEDs it wouldn't be too bad.

We need some stuff built and I think the Seabees are just the guys to do it.

Thanks for the offer Bob, but it won't be for a while yet. I am happy to report that all my guys are home safe and sound and the did build a lot while over there, but now it is another Battalion on the job.
