I would like to thank Capt Cotton and Miss Patti for a wonderful Christmas party and afternoon of freindship. Also I would like to thank every one for thier support during my amputation. Thanks all it lacked was a good rebel yell when the splinter was removed. It was very nice getting to know all of you looking forward to reenacting with ya'all in the uncoming season. It was more of a plank

I don't know about the rebel yell but there were several "yankee fifer!"s heard during the operation. But it was a very nice afternoon. We're always glad to have a round of fellowship and now that Pvt. Campbell knows the difference between Northport & Winterport all's well. Also I'm sure Lt. Porter will be glad to introduce the rest of the unit to our new mascot, George. So Happy Holidays to all & here's to a grand New Year.

Oh man...

Sounds like I missed out on all kinds of excitement! I did make my Detachment's party Friday and was able to see 6 of my 9 guy who are home from the sandbox! So, that was worth while for sure, but missed seeing my friends from the other branch of the military I serve with. :-)

All inclusive

Thank you Pvt. Downing

And a very merry to you as well. Hope you're having fun on the message board. I promise we won't whack you too hard.

Seamus, I just couldn't help myself. You know these yankees. Give him "ignorant potato eater" & the next thing he'll be calling ya a "barefoot bog trotter".

Pvt. Henry, a very merry whatchamacallit to you too. Try not to choke on your next tater though. As my own dear Captain would suggest, try it with Guinness. It makes everything go down much smoother.

Ignorance

AS per the OED, Ignorance is merely the lack of knowledge, not to be construed with being stupid which is not only a pergorative, but indicated the inability to learn. SO my brother paddy, Seamus, as Samuel Clemmons once wrote, "we are all ignorant about something". I follow the Slavic lead and prefer to drink my tatersas well as my barley. THe newest PC seasonal greeting is Merry CHRISTMAHANNUKWAANZADON!
