How much does reenacting cost?
We don't want to scare anyone off, but the initial cost of obtaining uniform, accoutrements, and weapon (your kit) can run well over $1000. It is a matter of how much you want to invest for your impression and requirements of your unit for authenticity. Most units have extra gear you can borrow and will give you plenty of time to acquire what you need to get going. Talk to the unit for a list of recommended Sutlers to purchase gear from.
