The Camden Grade School would like us to come and teach the 6th grade class (40 students) how to march (1861 style). This is to be taught on Dec 9th. The whole school is presently studying the Civil War and the 6th graders (40 students) will demonstrate what we have taught them to the rest of the school on the 23rd of Dec. Not much time to do it! Two class periods on the 9th and two class periods on the 23rd. Class periods are 10:30 til 12:20 both days. They also would like a question and answer period for the children (limited due to time of course). Come in period uniform (Blue or Grey) with everything you would normally wear when on the march ( No musket/weapons on the 9th. This includes No Bayonets.) Ladies are as always welcome to attend both days, in Period Clothing.

I have a permission slip signed by the Principal for us to carrry our weapons on/into the school grounds/gym on the 23rd. No Weapons on the 9th. Also have contacted the Chief of Camden Police Dept. and notified him of what is happening. He has gotten with the principal of the school so we are all set on the 23rd.

Please feel free to let anyone wishing to participate know they are welcome to come. Hope you can make it . Should be challengeing, but fun!
