ALL REENACTORS ARE WELCOME! CIVILIAN, INFANTRY, OR FIELD MUSIC. Please join us in sharing our skills and knowledge of the civil war with these scouts.
The BSA/GSA Civil War educational program is schedulded for Saturday October 1st at Farmington Maine from 1:pm to 5:pm with a Noon time form up for reenactors. You should bring show & tell stuff and Confederates are very welcome. Please also bring your own food and water. We expect about 300 scouts.
Doug Tucker is the contact for this event and his telephone number is (207) 645-3080. THIS IS A RAIN OR SHINE EVENT. THE RAIN DATE IS SUNDAY OCTOBER 2ND from 1PM-5PM. If the weather is questionable, please call Doug on Saturday before 10:am. If the event is called off by the BSA/GSA on Saturday, then it will be on Sunday either rain or shine.
Directions:
* take Rt 4 north from Auburn to Farmington
OR,
* take RT 202 West from Augusta to Winthrop and then Rt 133 Livermore Falls and then Rt 4 North from Livermore Falls to Farmington
* From Rt 4, enter Farmington and cross the bridge
* After crossing the bridge into Farmington, turn LEFT onto Front Street just after McDonald's
* park in the movie theater lot about 1/4 mile down the street.
* Next to the parking lot is UMF's Prescott Field. The program will be held in that field near the theater.
