In reference to Capt. Cotton's comments on the 20th boycotting our event.
Be it known that Capt Cotton was not in attendance at the meeting and therefore doesn't have all the facts.
The opinion of Capt Cotton do not reflect the opinions of the members of the 20th.

Welcome Aboard Paul
I, for one, did not see Will's comments as anything but his own. I know that may not be much of a consulation. I trust that others saw it the same way I did but I could be wrong.
I don't have any details more than was in the Republican Journal article and was posted by Will and Zac. Would you care to enlighten me? I must admit I've been very curious but afraid to ask as it sounds like it is one of those affairs that I just don't need to be involved in.

An Opinion
Sgt. Dudley,
With all due respect, the majority of my information is coming from the Republican Journal, Bangor Daily News, members of the Friends of Fort Knox, State Volunteers for Fort Knox and Mr. Seymour himself as well as members from the 20th Maine. While it is true I was not at the last meeting, I do have a fairly good grasp of the situation. It is doubtful that anyone has all the facts, I am curious of what information appears to be incorrect or missing?

The following is more information on the Fort Knox plight which sheds more light on the real issues. From what is coming out there are real legimate issues the Board of Directors are dealing with and are being handicapped by by all these trappings from Mr. Seymour contacting sponsers to boycott the Fort. This is purely self interest and not beneficial to the Fort. If the grounds for Mr. Seymours dismissal are not sufficent, then it would be a matter for the courts to decide being that he is sueing. Instead, Mr. Seymour is recruiting by any means or ways so that he is forced back into his old position no matter how much harm is done to the Friends of Fort Knox or capital donations given to the fort. (Now this is my impression and My opinion.)

Mr. Dudley has elected to communicate in private and so I will deal with his issues as such.
Will
It's all very unfortunate.
Well I am way on the outside trying to sort all this out in my mind. I am thnkful that the Bangor Daily News article at least included some explanation of why Mr. Seymour was dismissed.
The above quote was pulled from several paragraphs at the bottom of the story Will posted.

I guess we shall see how this shakes out in court at some point. Hopefully, the Fort doesn't lose out on everyone's efforts in the mean time.
