A new exhibit of flags is opening later this month at the National Civil War Naval Museum.

I love the stories behind some flags. And some of these are especially stirring. These flags are from the museum's own Port Columbus Flag Collection and from the Gustavus V. Fox Flag Collection. The Fox collection contains the Ft. Walker and Ft. Henry flags, as well as others of great fame.

This is one of those museums I have on my list to visit someday. Anyone ever been?
