MaineMilitia.com was established in April of 2000 for the sharing of information and knowledge related to the Great State of Maine in the American Civil War and the reenacting community that calls this state home. For many years there was a lively discussion of history and reenacting events. That has dwindled off in the last few years.

Since early 2012, this site has reverted back to a personal website for Michael Johnson and his sharing of history related news and interests.
